Michael “Eric” Kempson was born and raised in Ladson, South Carolina. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Francis Marion University and his law degree from the Charleston School of Law. After law school, Eric completed a six-month clerkship with the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office in Berkeley County, South Carolina. Thereafter, Eric decided to focus his practice on real property law, and he joined a local law firm for two years, before taking a position with Weeks & Irvine, LLC in 2015. Today, Eric continues to focus his practice solely on real estate transactions and real property law.

Eric is a member of both the South Carolina Bar and Charleston County Bar Association. In his free time, Eric enjoys fishing, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife, Brittany, and his sons, Henry and Hayes.
