Personal

Michael Shumaker was raised in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He received his bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the Charleston School of Law. Admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2012, he worked at several local law firms before joining Weeks & Irvine, LLC in 2015. He has always focused his practice on property law and estate planning and continues to do so with the firm.

Michael is a member of both the South Carolina Bar and Charleston County Bar Associations. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Melissa, his daughter, Adalyn, and the rest of his family and friends. He also enjoys golfing, boating, going to the beach, and cheering on his beloved South Carolina Gamecocks, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Braves.
